Tomorrowisnow
todayisyesterday (TiNTiY)

Social media function undoubtedly as a master generator and multiplier of unrest. Hypervisibility, delirious oversharing, antagonism, tribalism, dark radicalization and manipulation are the foundational traits of this version of digital capitalism, which creates hollowed-out lives and fuels collective unrest in perpetuum.
Tomorrowisnowtodayisyesterday (TiNTiY) looks at the impact of (social) media on society as it focuses on over-saturation and the bombardment of information. Accompanied by a club-like soundtrack, three dancers perform overly produced gestures, reflecting the physiological effects of the blurring of individual and collective identities on the physical body.
Playing with the use of memes, skits and “entertaining content” shared on social media platforms, we witness the darker undertones and realities behind the façade. TiNTiY reflects on the multitude of opinions, alternative truths, conspiracy theories and “information” that help create confusion, anxiety, the unease that enhances precarious living.
Strobe lighting effects will be used during this performance.
Pre-booking is required.
