Duration:40’
The work GONG, influenced by the unity of body-mind- soul and by Butoh dance, builds on a long-standing dance practice that visualizes images and emotions through the body, connecting the individual experience to the universal.
GONG envisions the human life journey as a bodily narrative, one that begins with birth, undergoes a kind of purification through inner deaths, and gains strength through each rebirth. In this story, silence and pressure are not only forces of conflict, but also tools of transformation. GONG invites the audience to witness their own cycle of existence.
In the words of choreographer Filiz Bozkus Al:
GONG calls us to a silent yet ancient place within — a place we do not know by name, yet have always known.
