About

ARC FOR DANCE FESTIVAL

The International Contemporary Dance Festival ARC FOR DANCE has been organized since 2008 by the artistic non-profit organization DAN.C.CE Unitiva under the artistic direction of Froso Trousa.

The festival is leading the way in the emergence of new trends and choreographic creations, confirming its belief in the dynamics of dance as expressed in its constant interaction with other arts. At the same time, it is fostering the appropriate environment that allows for substantial experimentation on the language of dance by novice and seasoned choreographers alike. The primary aim of the festival is to broaden the participation of Greek artists in the global discourse on dance by joining international networks, and actively support the invitation of dance professionals for the exchange of knowledge.

Since 2018, ARC FOR DANCE FESTIVAL has been supported by the Greek State and the European Union through the Operational Program “ATTIKI 2014-2020,” while the “International Contemporary Dance Festival ARC FOR DANCE FESTIVAL 2025–2026” is implemented within the framework of the “ATTIKI 2021-2027” Program and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and National Resources.

DAN.C.CE UNITIVA

Since 2008, the persistent work of DAN.C.CE Unitiva, the artistic non-profit that is organizing the ARC FOR DANCE FESTIVAL, is the consistent development and systematic fostering of a sound dance ecosystem in Greece. As a member of the international networks Aerowaves and Moving Balkans, DAN.C.CE Unitiva reinforces the participation of choreographers in the global dance discourse, while enhancing the presence of dance in the public sphere and proposing new ways of understanding and enjoying movement.
